Stan and Erika were very professional, but also provided a comfortable environment for everyone. Erika spent most of the time with us while we were getting ready. She was amazing! Not only was she the photographer, but helped us with anything else we needed. We got married on a very hot day and both of them were concerned with the well being of the wedding party and the guests. They were willing to do whatever was needed to take care of everyone. The pictures were awesome and there are tons of them!

Stan was truely a pleasure to work with. Both his attention to detail and his ability to catch things in the moment combined to make my wedding pictures amazing. I could not be happier with my photography. My family/guests were also thrilled with the pictures and thought he was a joy to work with, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

My now husband and I hired Stan as the photographer for our wedding, and we couldn't say enough wonderful things about him!!! He excelled well beyond our expectations as a photographer. Not only did our pictures turn out wonderful (And received around 2 weeks after the event, where as some of my friends have had to wait up to 5 for their photo's) but he was amazing to work with! He listened to what I wanted and directed us and our party to ensure we recieved it. He asked to make sure there wasn't anything missing or if there were any photo's we wanted to add. And best of all he and Erika were a BLAST to have around! It was almost like they were guests at our wedding who just happen to take really good pictures. I would and will recommend him to anyone I know looking for a photographer. Again, we couldn't say enough great things about his work!

You will get the best photography and service when you work with both Stan and Erika. They are an amazing team! As a bride I was never worried about what photographs were not being taken. The photographs are impecable. I trusted Stan and Erika and because of it I cherish every picture. They got every moment even the ones when I did not think a photographer was around. They are amazing and I am so thankful I went with this team. You can't go wrong with them. I shopped around and they were the Best!

Stan did a wonderful job from our initial consultation to editing our final photos. He displayed the upmost professionalism and care documenting our special day. It was easy trusting Stan to do a great job and from the end result we could not be happier. I did a lot of reseach and contacted many photographers prior to selecting one for my wedding. I found SR Photograhy in an online search and was a little hesitant at first to book a photographer from Des Moines (I live in Cedar Rapids) that I had never met but decided to trust many of the great online reviews that I had read. As soon as I reached out to Stan, any fear I initially had was instantly set aside. In other reviews, I read about how quick he was to respond which is very important to any bride trying to make decisions and to organize plans. The first time I contacted him it was around 10:00pm and I was expecting a response within a couple of days... I was certainly surprised when I heard back from him within the hour! His follow-up to all of my questions and with all of our contacts exceeded my expectations. In addition, Stan was flexible and open to any ideas I had for pictures. He was professional and organized which resulted in our formal pictures before the wedding going much smoother and more quickly than I had expected. I was also very happy with the quick availability of the photos. My brother was married in September and I was married in November and I received my proofs from SR Photography four weeks before my brother received his! On the backend, Stan has been great with additional edits to photos upon request. My mom had an edit that she wanted and was thrilled when Stan was able to make the change exactly as she requested and in a very timely manner.

Stan was amazing!! He was always easy to get a hold of and open to our ideas. He was professional and was always working, even when there was down time in that half hour or so before the wedding when guests are arriving, but you have to stay in hiding. I got married in Marion and paid for the travel for Stan to come up from Des Moines because the quality of his work for the cost was better than anything I found in the Cedar Rapids area. To get his work here, would have cost a lot more. If you do not have to worry about your wedding photography hire Stan. He is well worth it!

Stan was fabulous. He seemed to be everywhere through out the night. we did not want to see each other before the wedding & Stan worked with us to make sure we saved our first look to be as I walked down the aisle. He then quickly & efficiently took the rest of the photos after the wedding so our guests did not need to wait too long for us. The sunset photos were so beautiful. Stan had a great eye & our photos were great. He took the photos we asked for & so much more. We highly recommend Stan

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Stan. He was professional, timely and worth every penny. Stan is creative and has fabulous ideas! He captured all the special moments of our day, down to every last detail. Not only do we have beautiful traditional photos but we also have fun snapshots and whimsical pictures that reflect our personalities. I can’t thank him enough for all the incredible pictures and making our day so much fun. On top of all that, he helped us both stay relaxed and in the moment.

Stan and Erica did a great job photographing our wedding. Our only disappointment was that we weren't able to coordinate a time with him to take our engagement pics as we we live outside of the Des Moines area.

I would highly recommend Stan as he made our wedding day absolutely perfect! I knew when I first contacted Stan everything would be great as we asked Stan to come to our house to present information on his services and he gladly accepted. We had interviewed 3 other photographers and they had one way of doing things and we had to go to them. As soon as Stan left our house my husband said "I want Stan and only Stan, no more interviews!" Stan is an amazing photographer! He was so fun and laid back to work with. We had a great time with him during our engagement session and the entire day of our wedding. In shopping around for a photographer we noticed he had the most artistic style, best packages and best prices that we were able to find. He was extremely accommodating with our requests and also very professional. His pictures of our wedding turned out amazingly! They were exactly what we wanted and we have heard rave reviews from all of our friends and family on them. There was a very special moment between my mom and I during our ceremony that lasted about 2 seconds and he was able to get a picture of it - I now have that moment forever to look at and that is priceless to me. I would highly recommend working with Stan!

Wow what can I say but....HIRE HIM! From the start I wanted to change his "package" he put together for the day. I wanted coverage of the entire day and since he gives you the rights to the photos I did not want an album or an engagement photo and he was more than willing to work with us. If you have looked around, you will notice he is VERY reasonable for price of packages. So much that I was apprehensive. But dont be! He is providing services way to cheap! (But dont tell him that) We received so many comments on how he was everywhere during the wedding and reception and the results were evident. We ended up with over 800 photos to chose from and they are ALL beautiful. We were looking for a jouralistic approach along with traditional photos and Stan delivered and then some! One piece of advice, when he comes up to you and says...lets go outside....DO IT! He has seen something that will make for an unbelievable shot! Thanks Stan for making our day last for years! Stan was extremely helpful and flexible with our wedding. We left limited time for our pictures, and he was able to get all of the pictures we wanted in a short time without sacrificing quality. The pictures are absolutely amazing. He took some wonderful artistic shots as well as the traditional posed pictures. I would definately recommend SR Photography.

Stan was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a mix of photo journalism and traditional photos. From the time we met Stan to the day of our wedding, we could not have been more happy with the service, professionalism and outcome of our photos he provided. After the petals have been tossed, the vows have been made and the cake has been cut, what’s left after the end of one of the biggest days of your life are the photos by which to remember it. Honestly, the day is like a blur going by so fast it’s easy to miss the details. That’s where a great photographer comes into play—someone you can trust to capture those moments you treasure. I was so impressed with Stan’s photos, accessibility and prices after he shot my best friend’s wedding, I didn’t think twice about calling him to book mine after getting engaged. Unfortunately, in order to hold our wedding in our selected venue six months after our engagement, only one day was available, and a wise bride-to-be had already booked Stan. I have personal friends in the Des Moines area who photograph weddings, but none of their packages compared to the prices/value Stan offers. I made a spreadsheet of all of the vendors in the area who took photos similar to the level of Stan’s and none of their packages even compared, not to mention many had ridiculous unbridefriendly rules. One photographer wanted me to pay a stipend for meals and lodging, though the only meal during which she’d be working was the dinner we’d planned on serving her and the other guests, and she could be home by 9 p.m. Another would only cover the cake shot but not the reception, etc. When you’re planning your wedding, you just think about the big day, but when it comes to photographs, the follow up is just as important. The photographer I ended up hiring took great photos of our wedding, but went MIA following. I was expecting the service Stan had provided for my best friend, who had her photos ready by the time promised and whose wishes were still a priority. I had to continually hound my photographer to send me the photos after having to sort through 1,400 of ones with people’s eyes closed and kids picking their noses and to tell me on December 23 that the albums I’d ordered months earlier as Christmas presents for our parents weren’t ready. In desperation I again called Stan for help. He listened to what I wanted and immediately took steps to make it happen, resulting in me having the album of my dreams in a mere fraction of the time I’d spent trying to reach the other photographer. Weddings are stressful enough. You need a photographer who makes your wishes a priority and who doesn’t bust your budget in the process. Do yourself a favor: hire SR Photography, and enjoy your day knowing he’ll be on Team Bride every step of the way.
