Kay Jewelers

I liked the rings we got from kays but my only complaint is the price... I think we could have got a better deal somewhere else.

Kay Jewelers as a company in general provide great quality jewelry at an affordable cost & I love my wedding set. However, we have had a terrible experience at the Ames, Iowa location. Before getting married, my husband purchased a necklace from there that had just been released for sale that day. The sales woman told him it was a full carat necklace (he didnt know much for the difference at the time) but gave him a 1/2 carat necklace for the full carat price. On the receipt it stated 1/2 carat so they would not issue a refund. Yet in the cases just a week after it was released, the full carat was showing the price he had paid. Down the road, we ended up purchasing my wedding set from the Kay's in Cedar Falls, it was great service! The mistake we made was after moving to Ames, I took the set to that location to have them sautered together. The quality is horrible & there is a gap between the band & engagement ring that should not be there as they were purchased as a set. I will be taking it back to a different Kay's to have it fixed. I do recommend Kay Jewelers but DO NOT work with the location in Ames!
